It is known that it was built before 1948; however, it assumed its present status after 1950. According to the information taken from verbal sources, the ground floor of this building was used as mill, whereas the second floor was used as teahouse. The building was used as residence after 1948. It has been nationalized by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality recently, and has been evacuated in order to be restored as Boutique Hotel. After the Renovation Project is satisfied, it shall serve as a boutique hotel at the heart of the city and as a restaurant presenting the traditional homemade foods of Gaziantep. The Boutique Hotel shall employ 15 people, and the restaurant shall introduce the famous cuisine of Gaziantep. Presenting the foods of Gaziantep, the restaurant shall also be a place liked by people of Gaziantep. Therefore, this will create a potential tourist who comes to Gaziantep for food. Thanks to the presentation, Gaziantep cuisine shall be a commonly well-known cuisine in Turkey, and shall have a respectable position abroad. |
